Scandinavian thermopine is a wood species that undergoes a special heat treatment in the range of 200 - 215˚C, which changes the properties of the wood. During the heat process, practically all biological substances are destroyed. Thanks to the thermo treatment, there are almost no dimensional changes, the wood is not attacked by pests or wood-destroying fungi. It is not resistant to UV radiation, which causes the material to turn gray over time. If we want to delay the graying, we must use the recommended treatment (transparent or with pigment).
